About Victor Nguyen

Howdy!

My name is Victor and I’m a Master’s graduate from the Business Analytics program UT. I’m originally from Dallas where I went to the University of Texas at Dallas for an Electrical Engineering degree. From there I did some work as a software developer before deciding to attend the MSBA program in order to pivot towards a career in data science.

When I’m not training my predictive models or presenting savvy presentations for monumental business decisions, I love photography! It aligns with my passion for traveling and learning about the world we live in, but also feeds my appetite for gadgets and electronics. I had always been interested in photography, since my father told me stories of his adventures with photography growing up; however, I didn’t bite the bullet and buy my first DSLR camera until three years ago. Since then, I make sure to bring my camera every time I’m exploring Austin or traveling abroad.

Besides photography, I also play piano, billiards, build computers, hike, and play volleyball. As a recent graduate from UT, I am currently open to data science opportunities in the Austin tech industry.
